(Nasdaq: CSIQ) today announced its headquarters, located at 650 Riverbend Dr., is home to Kitchener's first Ontario Power Authority (OPA) approved microFIT (Feed-In-Tariff) solar installation. Canadian Solar Completes Its First 250 kW PV Rooftop System in Ontario with Towcon Holdings and Aecon

Canadian Solar Inc. Canadian Solar and Fire Energy Announce 60MW Contract

Canadian Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: CSIQ) today announced that that it has entered into a sales contract with Fire Energy Group. Under terms of the contract, shipments started in January, with Canadian Solar expected to supply 60MW of PV modules to Fire Energy in 2010.

Fire Energy Group is a system integrator that provides project management and distribution services. Fire Energy Group will use its global reach to promote Canadian Solar's PV products in Spain, Germany, Italy, the U.S., the Czech Republic, Morocco and China.

Canadian Solar Announces Joint Venture and Distribution Deal with West Holding Ltd of Japan

Canadian Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: CSIQ) today announced a joint venture and an 18 MW distribution deal with West Holding Ltd of Japan.

The agreement stipulates a transfer of 14% of the shares in Canadian Solar Japan, which is the Japanese subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., to West Holding Ltd. Canadian Solar retains the remaining 86%. West Holding Ltd will distribute and sell solar residential rooftop systems designed by Canadian Solar Japan. The sales target for 2010 is approximately 18 MW. Deliveries began in December 2009.
