Suntech Reports Third Quarter 2008 Financial Results

Third Quarter Highlights(1)
- Third quarter 2008 total net revenues grew 53.7% year-over-year to $594.4 million.
- On a consolidated basis, GAAP gross margin increased to 21.6% for the third quarter 2008 compared to 20.7% for the third quarter 2007. Non-GAAP(2) gross margin reached 21.8% for the third quarter 2008, compared to 21.4% for the third quarter 2007.

Suntech Maximizes Solar Energy at Caltech With Innovatively Designed Parking Lot System

The system was designed and installed by Suntech Energy Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd., and utilized an innovative space frame that accommodated more modules to maximize solar energy production. This also resulted in more shading for cars on the top deck of the parking structure where the array is located.
Suntech Reinforces Its Commitment to Tackling Climate Change by Joining The Climate Group

Suntech to Power Arizona's Largest Building Mounted PV Project at Arizona State University

(NYSE: STP), one of the world's leading manufacturers of photovoltaic cells and modules, today announced it has been selected to supply 1.6 megawatt (MW) of solar panels to Sun Devil Solar LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Integrys Energy Services, for its project with Arizona State University (ASU). The project will be installed on top of two elevated parking structures in the middle of the ASU's main campus using an innovating tracking system. The solar installations are to be completed by the end of 2008.
