Scheuten Solar implements turnkey project for Devos in Belgium
Scheuten Solar recently completed a turnkey project comprising the supply and installation of 1,800 solar panels for fruit grower Devos in Belgium. Previously Scheuten Solar signed an EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract for the supply and installation of nearly 1,200 solar panels. With the extension of the roof system, the total number of solar panels comes to 3,000 and the combined output amounts to nearly 0.6 MWp.
The solar panels were installed on the different buildings of fruit grower Devos in Bekkevoort, Belgium. The buildings have a corrugated roof surface. In order to achieve an optimum and stable system, a so-called double structure was introduced onto which the solar panels were fitted. The installation work has now been completed, the overall implementation time for the extension taking only two months. With the installation of the solar panels, Devos will spare the environment some 200 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
The installation of the roof system for fruit grower Devos forms part of a series of successful projects that Scheuten Solar has implemented in Belgium in recent times.
