Berlin-based SOLON SE is participating in the partner program recently launched by Bayer for the international marketing of innovative, economical, and ecological construction solutions. Under the EcoCommercial Building Program, Bayer acts as an intermediary for innovative partners and their high-tech products developed in collaboration with Bayer. Customized solutions for the construction of energy-optimized commercial and public buildings aim to improve the sustainability of buildings in the future and reduce their energy consumption. The partner network in the program includes producers of construction materials, architects, energy engineers and providers of engineering services. The EcoCommercial Building Program is part of a large-scale sustainability initiative by Bayer that encompasses flagship projects in the fields of health, food security, and climate change.

As one of the leading European manufacturers of solar modules and solar system technology and as the sole participating solar company, SOLON will contribute its photovoltaic expertise to the partner network. The involvement is intended to provide SOLON access to new customer groups for its photovoltaic solutions in Germany and abroad.

SOLON and Bayer have already worked together in the past in the development of integrated photovoltaic solutions for buildings. The SOLON Black 160/05 product developed in cooperation with Bayer Material Sciences was introduced to the public in spring 2009 and has already received numerous awards as an innovative solution for the integration of photovoltaic systems in roofs.
