Uptick in clean tech investment, says analyst

Clean technology investment could be seeing a rebound.

Research analyst The Cleantech Group, a subsidiary of Deloitte, released a preliminary report Thursday showing a slight uptick in clean tech investment for the sector covering http://bto.cnet.com/8401-1-0.htmlNorth America, Europe, China and India for second quarter 2009

After two quarterly declines the increase is good news, but the Cleantech Group noted that the quarter-to-quarter comparison for the same period a year ago is still down.

"The 2Q09 total is up 12 percent from the previous quarter, although down 44 percent from the same period a year ago. The average round size in 2Q09 was $12.9 million, up from $12.3 million 1Q09," said the report.
